Mind the Carer!
Mind the Carer! is a service for Adult Carers that focuses on offering Mental Health support and community building to connect isolated Carers. It works on enhancing relationships between Carers and Cared For, tailoring their journey, signposting specialist services and providing psychoeducation, in the borough of Hounslow.
We aim to prioritise collaboration with Carers to empower them to make well-informed decisions and celebrate their vital role in society and our communities.
Carers deserve care as well… which is why we will listen, support, and help you understand your rights, choices, and options. We will help you speak up for yourself and empower you to assert yourself. Where you are unable to, we will help ensure your voice is heard.
Eligibility:
- Adults 18+
- Must reside in Hounslow and/or have a GP based in Hounslow
- Can be identified or unidentified Carers
What support does ‘Mind the Carer!’ offer:
- 1:1 tailored and personalised support
- Weekly drop-ins and group activities
- Psychoeducation sessions
- Monthly group sessions for Carers and Cared For
- Signposting and assistance in accessing local services, in the borough of Hounslow, including Mental Health, Wellbeing support and more
- Social activities and fun excursions, such as wellbeing walks, coffee afternoons, yoga sessions, outings and more
